The Personal Touches Using Color
Design Elements That Were Important
Wall colors, I did not want to do white for a few reasons; I was not purchasing new furniture so I wanted the furniture to blend in and I had beige and wood, and in addition to that I selected Fern cabinets and oil aged bronze handles and pulls which have a warmer feel to them.
I was lucky to meet early on a color consultant, Sue Pike (774) 722 4459, she was at Ace in Harwich and in Orleans. She was incredibly helpful. This is a free service at Ace in the paint department. I selected November Rain for the kitchen and Sail Cloth for the living room and one bedroom. Lily White for another bedroom, which I wanted to brighten up, she called it an optic blue. The bathrooms are both Snowfall White. She also suggested that I paint the inside of my front door the same as the outside which is Whipple Blue, and that is a fun effect.
